This wasn't as good as the first book but it was still enjoyable. I'm glad we got some loose ends tied up, since the first book ended so abruptly. The ending to this one actually shocked me - I didn't remember it was going to happen at all! (I think I've only read this book once, as opposed to the several times I read the first one.)I wish there had been just one more book to let us know what happened to the girls in the future. Since their friendship was already starting to crumble, I suspectOne of my fave childhood books.
Snail Mail No More to me is not a good book. It is about two girls who send emails to each other about school lives and home lives. The schools stuff that they share with each other is totally unrealistic and the two girls (Tara and Elizabeth) sound like college students. But of course this my opinion and my opinion of this book is that it is awful. I suggest you don't read it.
Snail Mail No more is about a long distance friendship with Tara Star and Elizabeth. Tara Star is the really popular. Elizabeth is just normal. The setting is in Ohio. I'm not really sure where just I know it is in Ohio. Tara's internal conflict is wither her "friend" Phil. She is wondering if she likes him enough to date him. Elizabeth's is with her mom. Her mom and father are no longer together because of her father. Tara's external conflict is with Elizabeth. She and Elizabeth haven't seen
Neat to be able to see how 2 friends grow in their relationship with each other even when one moves away.
This is a sequel to a book, but it works as a stand alone novel, too. I feel like Ive read this or the first book before, years ago when I was probably still the appropriate age for it, but I cant remember; it just seems vaguely familiar. Tara Starr and Elizabeth were best friends last year, but Tara moved and now they communicate between email and IM. I love reading epistolary novels because I feel like you get more insight - its close to reading a diary or a novel completely in dialogue. The
